Going Equipped iPad & iPhone Heart Monitor Tool

An application for IPAD and the iPhone was created to allow doctors to obtain the condition of patients with heart disease even though both long-distance apart.

Applications called airstrip was, created by GE Healthcare and airstrips Technologies compatible with MUSE cardiology systems. MUSE technology itself has been applied to several hospitals, where this technology allows data collection cardiology for further analysis. "There is tremendous demand among physicians, so that they can access patient health information via the iPhone and iPad," explained Darren Dwordking as Cedars-Sinai CIO, as quoted by Computer World

"This new application allows doctors to make decisions regarding the heart condition of a person in a secure, anytime, anywhere. The function of interactive applications more sophisticated than any currently available and to encourage discourse use mobile platforms to access the hospital information in the future," continued Dwordking.
Doctors usually observed data ECG (electrocardiograph) through static images. ECG observe from a distance is quite difficult because the change only half a millimeter could indicate a serious health condition of the heart.

Data generated by rapid application of this airstrip gives doctors the latest information and observing the results of tests conducted up to a year earlier. "Our vision is to remove the geographic barriers and the logistics associated with the clinic," said chief medical officer of airstrips, Dr. Cameron Powell.

"The presence of GE Healthcare and innovation will help us deploy this application to more cardiologists in the entire world," he concluded.
